Website data and choices

The public astronomy tools do not require an account. Date, city, and calendar selections can appear in the URL so a view can be shared. If analytics or advertising identifiers are configured, those optional services load only after the visitor makes a choice in the privacy panel. The choice is stored locally and can be changed through “Privacy settings.”

Google Analytics may process page, device, browser, approximate location, and interaction information. Google AdSense may process cookies, local storage, IP address, browser information, and ad interactions. Personalized ads in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland require a separately configured Google-certified consent platform.

Mobile app and permissions

The app may store preferences, notes, selected cities, reminder settings, and optional saved location on the device. Location, notifications, exact alarms, advertising consent, and Apple tracking permission are requested only for supported features and platforms.

Retention, deletion, and requests

Local browser choices remain until cleared or changed. Data handled by outside services follows their own retention terms. You can clear browser storage, change privacy settings, remove app data, revoke permissions, or email [email protected] with a privacy request. We may need enough information to verify and answer the request.
